USA | Msgr. Patrick Brankin Makes Profession in the Dominican Priestly Fraternities

In the evening of 13 December 2021, Msgr. Patrick Brankin (Peter-Martyr) made his profession in the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic. His promise was received by fr. Michael Monshau, OP, Provincial Promoter of the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic under the Province of St. Albert the Great, USA.

Although he completed his novitiate stage as a member of the Chapter of St. Vincent Ferrer (River Forest), Msgr. Patrick had earlier expressed his intention to continue his path in the Order in the Chapter of the Regina Rosarii (Joliet). This change was effected immediately following his profession, with the concurrence of the priors of both Chapters who were likewise present during the occasion. With this transfer, he joins the Chapter of Regina Rosarii, thus giving it a total of five members. This growth in membership, even by one, also changes the social structure of the group from a small fraternity of priests who live close enough to one another to gather easily to a more extended unit with at least one member who comes from a more distant territory.
