ITALY | Roman Province Receives Profession of Priest in the Fraternities of St. Dominic
On the feast of the Presentation, 2 February 2015, Don Enzo Ferraro of the Diocese of Rome made profession in the Priestly Fraternities of St. Dominic in the presence of his spiritual director, His Eminence Georges Marie Martin Cardinal Cottier, OP, and fr. Antonio Cocolicchio, OP, Promoter of the Priestly Fraternities of the Roman Province of St. Catherine of Siena in Italy.
The rite of profession was held at 10:30 am during the mass presided over by fr. Angelo Urru, OP, at the Dominican Parish of Santa Maria del Rosario in Prati, the same church where Don Enzo grew in his love of the spirituality of St. Dominic. Among the concelebrants were fr. Rui Lopes, Promoter General of the Dominican Laity, fr. Florentino Bolo, International Coordinator of the Priestly Fraternities of the Order, members of the friars’ community in Prati, and other diocesan priests of the priestly fraternities. Also joining the parishioners in witnessing the event were members of the Dominican Laity and some religious sisters.
As a parishioner of Santa Maria del Rosario, Don Enzo spent many moments of prayer with the friars in the celebration of the Liturgy of the Hours and in praying the Holy Rosary. His affinity with the family of St. Dominic continued even after his ordination to the priesthood on 20 June 2010 and thereafter reached its summit through his formal enrolment in the priestly fraternities. He was first received into the fraternities on 11 February 2014, also by Cardinal Cottier, at the monastery of the Dominican Nuns of Santa Maria del Rosario in Montemario.
