PHILIPPINES | Chapter of the Most Holy Name of Jesus Elects New Set of Officers

Updated: Oct 14, 2020

In a gathering of the members of the Chapter of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, the new set of officers was elected for the next three years. The election took place in the morning of 25 September 2020 at the Gracelane Hotel in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines.

Members of the chapter, all of whom are incardinated in the Archdiocese of San Fernando, Pampanga, re-elected Fr. Mario Sol Gabriel as Prior, with the council composed of Fr. Manny Contreras, Fr. Angel Amir Gamboa, Fr. Francis Mallari, and Fr. Ervin Ray Garcia.

Aside from the election of the new officers of the chapters, the members likewise discussed the following: formation program for the novices of the chapter; admission of new candidates into the novitiate; date for the rites of admission and profession of members; update on the inactive members of the fraternity; and the schedule of regular chapter meetings.

It can be recalled that the Chapter of the Most Holy Name of Jesus was one of the first nine chapters erected in the Province on 23 September 2017 in the presence of the Master of the Order, fr. Bruno Cadoré, OP, who was then conducting a canonical visitation of the Province.
