As a fitting culmination to a long process of consultation and formulation, the local directory of the Priestly Fraternity of St. Dominic in the Province of Bohemia has finally been approved by the Prior Provincial, Brother Lukáš Jan Fošum, OP, with his council on 25 June 2021.

The Fraternitas Presbyterorum et Diaconorum S. Dominici of the Province of Bohemia is currently composed of eight diocesan priests and seven permanent deacons. In recent years it has undergone a period of reorganization that saw the election of Fr. Tomáš Didymos Klíč of the Archdiocese of Olomouc on 15 December 2020. The fraternity also has a new promoter in the person of Brother Hyacint Ullmann, OP, whose valuable support was instrumental for the finalization of the directory.

Another achievement of the fraternity is the completion of Czech translation of the Rule and the General Declarations of the fraternities, both of which were duly approved by the authority of the Province. With these developments, the priests look forward to a promising future for the fraternity.

Br. Florentino Bolo, OP
